Job SummaryPerforms technical and clerical functions in one or more sections of the laboratory. Routinely performs phlebotomy procedures, and monitors supplies in collection areas. Performs approved testing and preparation procedures within the laboratory.COMPANY DESCRIPTIONFrye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.Essential FunctionsAssists with collecting, receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.Maintains adequate stock of supplies.Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.Performs clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, and filing.Communicates test results to appropriate healthcare providers.Assures that charging is accurate for all tests collected, including proper registration in MIS.
