Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team on a contract basis. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for observing cardiac rhythms, running and posting rhythm strips, and interpreting rhythms to validate computer readouts.Responsibilities

• Observe cardiac rhythms of patients on monitor and run rhythm strips at designated intervals.
• Interpret rhythms and validate computer readouts to ensure accurate results.
• Check and verify lead placement on patients to ensure proper functioning.
• Compare posted strips to previous strips and notify nursing staff of changes.
• Notify nursing staff of any changes in cardiac rhythm.
• Test equipment for proper working order and maintain a clean and orderly work area.Requirements
  • Proven 2 years of experience as an EKG Technologist.
  • Independent decision-making skills and a solid understanding of patient safety and precautions.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
